In that case you better find an authorized point where you can get a legitimate copy. If you are not particular about the distribution, then I would recommend kubuntu, which is the standard Ubuntu with kde as the window manager, which looks a lot like windows. Get it from http://www.kubuntu.org/. And mostly you would not need any further howtos to start with it, since the standard is a live CD which you can boot from and decide where and how to install. You should be able to find support at http://www.kubuntu.org/support. @ijas
