If you are particular that you should use IT School Linux CDs search for them, and if there is no legitimate site for downloading, then they do not want public to download the stuff. In that case you better find an authorized point where you can get a legitimate copy.

If you are not particular about the distribution, then I would recommend kubuntu, which is the standard Ubuntu with kde as the window manager, which looks a lot like windows. Get it from http://www.kubuntu.org/. And mostly you would not need any further howtos to start with it, since the standard is a live CD which you can boot from and decide where and how to install. You should be able to find support at http://www.kubuntu.org/support.</description>
